"tablescape"
I like the feeling of this table. White tablecloth, colorful runner down the middle, simple, unadorned flowers (but in wine bottle/mason jars) and wood chairs (which I rented).

flower vases
Ok, this is exactly what I'm envisioning with the tables, when I say I'm using vintage, colored bottles or mason jars, and wine bottles as vases. Inspiration for my shopping-happy family members. Ahem.

Honeymoon Registry
Ryan and I decided that we prefer not to receive gifts for the wedding. So many of our friends and family are contributing needed supplies and set up help, and that is a huge relief to us already. However, we have had guests already asking, and insisting, that we give an idea of some kind of registry or gift idea, as we understand many people enjoy the act of gift giving as part of the wedding celebration. The one place we could use gifts is in paying for the many things we're hoping to enjoy on our honeymoon in Curacao. We've made a honeymoon registry online, and we humbly suggest that any guests who feel the need to give a gift utilize this registry. Also, please feel free to share the registry with any friends or family who inquire about the best idea for wedding gifts. Thanks!

This is exactly what I'm thinking for the dessert buffet. Also, using clear mason jars as drinking glasses. :) Also, I'm planning to do the photo clothesline. I actually really like the simple layout of the table linens too. The basic white with the linen type runner is quite pretty with the wine bottles.

Steal this wedding...
I adore everything about this wedding. Her hair is gorgeous. They have a sno-kone stand, bounce house, croquet and badminton. They had pies for dessert. Man, I want to steal so many ideas from this wedding!

Incredible 30's style wedding gowns
I know, you're all sick of hearing about the dresses I'm drooling over and yes, I already picked mine. But these are fabulous and amazing and I must share them.

WOW! This is kinda weird...
Ok, I think I've found the doppelganger of my wedding. Read for yourselves, but a few things to note: He's a drummer, she's a hairstylist. Mason jars, a basket full of various cameras offered to guests, cupcakes, blah blah blah. Love every bit of this wedding.

Mason Jars!!
Scored these for $5 this weekend. The attached handles should make these quick, easy candle votives to hang from branches. And they are blue!

I've been scouring Etsy for a couple years now, and more so since the wedding planning began and I have to admit I'm often disappointed at some of the "handmade" goods for sale there, either because they are sorely lacking in originality or as sorely over-priced. This shop has accessories that are unique, classy and well made. I will be shopping here soon...

Paper lanterns
This seems like a fairly easy how-to for making paper lanterns. I think several strands of these would really look pretty between the trees in our backyard. Who wants to help me make these? :D

Ok, I'm not into puffy dresses, but this one is the ultimate fantasy gown. Awesome!

Fabric flowers?
Thinking of trying this DIY fabric flower method. Then I can make the textured, bulky flowers I like, in the colors I want, for my bouquet! I know, most artificial flowers look ridiculous, but I thought these were actually charming and pretty.

Tables!
I love these tables. Since we are not doing a 'sit-down' meal, I want either long buffets or many small tables, but close together, to encourage mingling and a more intimate atmosphere. I LOVE the mixed chairs and casual feel to the simple table settings here.
Awesome guest book idea!
So, these people painted a bare tree on thick canvas and asked guests to stamp their thumbprint on the branches, and also sign next to their prints. Love this idea. I think I know just the person to draw this tree, too...

perfect makeup!
Think I've changed my mind about makeup. My dear friend, Jenny, has offered to do my makeup for me, so I'm thinking a bit more about what I really want, and not just what I can do on my own. Since my dress is so Hollywood glam, I think I wanna mix it up a bit with some rock'n'roll style smokey, sexy eyes.

O.M.G.
I have been reading COUNTLESS numbers if blogs, looking at wedding photos and stealing ideas from all over the internets the last month or so, but this particular wedding is the 'cream of the crop'. Amazing! From the dogs, the vintage cars, the vows written from their favorite book quotes! Wow. And bookmarks a favors?? YES!! Any of you who know me well know that my 'mushy' bone is not often touched, but this wedding tickled it pink. :p

Got my ring tonight!
Ryan re-proposed tonight, with my ring in hand. Yes, he did the traditional on one knee, and it was the sweetest thing ever. So, since everyone has been asking about the ring and when it will appear, I'm posting a pic here. It's a vintage piece and I love it!
Linens
I saw a fantastic idea on one of my favorite wedding blogs to make my own table linens/ napkins using vintage sheets which are cut to size with pinking shears. Seems easy enough, and I prefer the 'eclectic' linen style to generic, formal table linens, but how hard will it be to find the necessary amount of vintage sheets?
Mason Jars!
Centerpieces? Hanging decor? Lining the aisle for the ceremony? Where and how can I use these things? I love mason jars. :)
