Linens

I saw a fantastic idea on one of my favorite wedding blogs to make my own table linens/ napkins using vintage sheets which are cut to size with pinking shears. Seems easy enough, and I prefer the 'eclectic' linen style to generic, formal table linens, but how hard will it be to find the necessary amount of vintage sheets?

  1. Very and pricey. A cheaper thought might be material from a fabric store cut to size. You would have have lots of prints to choose from and most basic cotton fabric is fairly cheap, might even be able to find remnants.

  2. Great idea, mom! And I'm sure I can find some 'vintage' patterns to mix up. :)

  3. If you are going to use the Bistro place maybe you can find out from them the width and length of tables so we can start looking for materials ahead of time. I can check out some of the fabric places like Joanne's and take pictures of fabric and download to you. If there are some you like I can buy and cut here and bring with me. There is also a place down in Altamonte Springs called Margies. It is an intertior decorating place (have been there with Aunt Bonnie) and they have all kinds of things.Could check them out for ideas also.

  4. Also on the fabric line....if you want to do an arbor to get married under Niki suggested using fabric to drape on the arbor .That would look really classey I think.

  5. Ok, I'll see what I can do about measurements. Still have to set up an actual meet with the Bistro and concrete where we are renting from. Do some comparisons.

  7. I have been scoping stores for vintage sheets, fabrics, table clothes, napkins, etc. Pretty pricey, actually.
