Paper lanterns

This seems like a fairly easy how-to for making paper lanterns. I think several strands of these would really look pretty between the trees in our backyard. Who wants to help me make these? :D

  1. I can do these if this is what you want. They have the clear full size strings of lights at Hobby Lobby now for yard parties. I believe they are strings of twenty five lights, which taking every other light out would make it 12 per string. how many do you want to do?

  2. Sure, mom, that would be great! Not sure exactly how many I'd need, but it's a pretty big yard, and we'll probbly have the seating on the side of the house,, the dance floor/music etc in the back. I think plain white paper would look best. I plan to build a fire pit, but we will need some lighting for dusk, and these would be so pretty between the trees. ;)

  3. Hobby Lobby and Michaels sell multi packs (12 per pack maybe?) of these paper sacks in white. Maybe $4 a pack?

  4. ok than, I am on it. just have to figure out how to put the ribbons on. Seems other people commented on having a problem. It says it is from Martha Stewart, isn't she down your way Melissa. Maybe you could stop by and ask her the trick to the ribbons.
